Class Supply List
- Wooden pencils (at least two)
-Glue stick
- Pocket folder (Labeled with your name and period)
-Block eraser or pencil cap erasers
-Black sharpies: Fine and extra fine tip (Sharpie sells a dual tip version for a two in one option)
-8 1/2"X 11" or larger wirebound sketchbook (Any brand) (Labeled with your name and period)
Grade Weights
Grade Weights:
Art Projects: 50%
Completed assignments or tests demonstrating an understanding of key objectives.
In Class Assignments- 35%
Daily work including, but not limited to sketchbook assignments, writing assignments, practice exercises, brainstorming, group work, participation in class critiques, etc.
Use of Studio Time- 15%
Demonstration of the following: proper care and use of art tools and materials, appropriate use of class time while working on assignments, timely assignment submission. *Each art project is accompanied by a studio grade.
Grading Scale
A-100%- 90%: Exceeds requirements- High achieving/advanced work
B- 89%- 80% : Meets requirements- Proficient work
C- 79%- 74% : Does not meet all requirements- Emerging work
D- 73%-70%: Incomplete/ does not meet requirements- Incomplete work
F- Below 70% *Students are evaluated on specific grading criteria reflecting the objectives of the assignment.
